I always like to keep baking soda in the RV fridge to keep ahead of any weird smells in the fridge. But many of you probably remember the days of spilled boxes in the fridge because it got knocked over or tipped while driving when the fridge wasn’t stuffed to the gills with food.
The RV fridge is one area where I don’t mind spending a little bit more because it makes my life easier and makes it highly unlikely I will need to do any cleanup from mishaps.
Arm and Hammer has come out with two new styles of baking soda packs that are designed especially for the fridge, with no accidental spillage an issue.
This first one is my first choice. It is in a disc style, but the best part is you can attach it to the “ceiling” of the fridge, or even underneath one of the shelves, so you don’t lose that valuable shelf space with a baking soda box. If you are like me, space is very, very important in these tiny RV fridges. This pretty much eliminates the space issue.
I do place it at the very back though, so if I do have some taller items, I don’t have to try and maneuver it around the disc on top.
Best of all, it attaches with a suction cup, so you don’t have to deal with sticky tape residue from it being adhered to the inside of the fridge.
- 100% baking soda
If you prefer something a bit more traditional, Arm & Hammer has new “Fridge-n-Freezer” baking soda boxes. These boxes have cutouts you can remove but these cutouts are covered in a type of fabric, so it is impossible to spill the baking soda. But do consider the fact you will lose fridge shelf space with this method.
- 2 Boxes, each box 14oz
