If you love your Keurig at home, you may take your home Keurig machine with you on the go. But since most household Keurigs are fairly large, many RVers invest in one of the smaller models for space issues, as well as because some of the smaller ones have a smaller power draw if bookdocking or on the road.
Plus while the pods might not be the best environmental option (even with recycling), there is no doubt that many RV owners find that using pods are much more convenient to use, and create much less mess than if you are grinding your own beans in your RV.
But if you are a huge Keurig fan, here are the best space saving Keurigs for your RV… as well as one more splurge model if you have a bit of extra space to use for an upscale Keurig that also can do lattes and cappuccinos.
Keurig K-Mini Coffee Maker, Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Brewer
This model is probably the most popular model, especially because it comes in multiple different colors. It uses traditional K-Cup pods from Keurig. It is the smallest of all the Keurig machines, which makes it pretty popular for those with smaller RVs.
This machine only uses pods, so there is no option to use ground coffee, although very few Keurig models do offer compatibility for non-pods use.
You do need to refill water between every use, but it isn’t really a big deal since most wouldn’t want to travel with water in a coffee machine anyway. However, if you are using this for a family of four who all drink 1-2 cups a day, filling it after every single use can get annoying fairly quickly.
- FITS ANYWHERE: Less than 5 inches wide, perfect for small...
This Keurig comes in a ton of different colors, I am a fan of the turquoise one personally. Here are the different colors this model comes in:
Keurig K-Slim
This is the newest model in their smaller line of Keurigs, and the big advantage to this one is the fact it has a larger resevoir, so you don’t need to refill it each time you make a cup of coffee, which many will find a major convenience.
A major downside is that this model only comes in black, so if you were wanting a colored version of their smallest Keurig, you will need to go with the K-Mini instead.
- MULTISTREAM TECHNOLOGY: Extracts full flavor and aroma in every brew.
Keurig K-Select
This is a slightly more robust Keurig than the K-Mini, but it is still smaller when compared to some of the other Keurigs.
If you tend to either have multiple coffees per day, or making for multiple people, or you just tend to not be in the road as much, you will probably appreciate not having to refill the reservoir between each cup.
- WHAT'S IN THE BOX: One water filter handle, and one filter to help...
And of course, it comes in multiple colors as well, if you want something different than the basic black.
Keurig K-Cafe
If you have the space to spare, or you want a bit of a higher end Keurig experience, there is the Keurig K-Cafe, which not only makes the regular k-pod coffees, teas and hot chocolates, it also has a frother for milk in order to make lattes, cappuccinos, mochas and more.
If space wasn’t the issue, I would be tempted to pick up one of these machines, because I do enjoy a good latte.
- INCLUDED IN THE BOX: Keurig K-Cafe coffee, latte, and cappuccino...
Final Thoughts
I am personally a fan of the K-Slim due to the increased reservoir size, even though it doesn’t come in colors. If space wasn’t an issue however, it would be the Keurig K-Cafe instead. If you want a small standalone espresso machine for your RV, check this out.
