USB Powered Fans for Your RV

December 1, 2016 by RV Chick Leave a Comment

I am a huge fan of devices that can be powered off of a USB.  Why?  Because I can run them off a regular plug when using a USB plug.  And I can run them off a portable battery power bank, meaning I can run them while boondocking – and I can charge the power banks back up with solar.  And many RVs now have USB ports you can also use.

And let me tell you, when you can’t run AC while boondocking, getting some air movement feels really, REALLY awesome.  And some even come with built in misters.

I got my first USB fan a couple of years ago when they first came out, and first tested it out by plugging it into my computer.  I was pretty amazed at how well it worked.

I have gotten a more recent one, and boy have they gotten much quieter than my original one!  So if you worried the sound might drive you crazy, definitely check out the newer quieter models.

Here are some of the newer – and quieter – fans available that are powered by USB.

This one is a table top design, so you can set it on a counter, table or even the floor.

If you want to be able to clip the fan, such as clipping it onto a window frame to pull air from outside or inside, this one works great.  You can also clip it to things like curtains, cabinet doors and more.  And it is also an option if you are concerned about little fingers being anywhere near fan blades, even with today’s safety features.

Lastly is this one that runs off USB with a rechargeable batter and has a built in mister.   It has three modes – fan only, mist only, or both fan and mist together.  It comes in blue, white and a peachy pink color.
