Set Up a Hammock With Your Trailer Hitch

Nothing says camping more than sitting around in a hammock.  But the reality is that most campgrounds don’t have trees suitable for hanging a hammock on unless you are really boondocking it.  And if you are camping in an area where trees are either not sturdy enough or just non-existant,  your solution is a hammock with a stand.  But lugging around one of those hammock stands just isn’t practical.

But one company has come up with their own camping friendly solution… for those that still want to lounge around the campsite in something more comfortable than a camping chair… a hammock with a stand that connects to your trailer hitch!

Now you can swing in a hammock chair in your campground without any trees required.

Also, if you are towing a trailer and don’t necessarily want to unhook your towing vehicle, most RVs also have a trailer hitch at the back as well, often for carrying the spare tire or bikes.  Be sure to check if there are any weight restrictions though.

These can be pretty awkward to store with the two curved poles, but you can toss them in the back of a pickup truck, or put it in last when packing the RV or travel trailer.
