RV Dollar Store Finds: Doormats for Inside and Outside the RV

If you hate the amount of dirt, sand and pebbles that inevitably find their way into the RV, but don’t want to purchase an expensive doormat that will get so much wear and tear it will only last a single season (especially if you have kids or dogs!) then check out your nearest dollar store for doormats.

You can pick up inexpensive door mats and even splurge to buy a heavier duty style one at the bottom of the steps and then another one for inside the door.

You can also pick up one of the types of plastic doormats that are meant for work boots, and have everyone place their shoes on that to help keep the dirt out (although if you place it outside, bring it inside at night and also be aware of any creepy crawlies that might decide your son’s sneakers are the perfect new home!)

Add an extra one inside where people put their shoes to help catch any dirt, grass, mud, etc that falls off as the shoes dry.

Also, not all dollar store doormats are ugly stripes… take the time to dig deeper into the pile, as that is usually where you will find the hidden gems. Some have even found ones with a camping theme on them at the start of summer if you are super lucky.
