Free Overnights in RVs at Wineries, Farms & Agri-Tourism Spots

December 3, 2016 by RV Chick Leave a Comment

Everyone is probably familiar with how you can stay overnight in many Walmart parking lots for free.  But did you know that you can do the same for wineries, farms and agri-tourism spots too?

First, it does require a membership, but it only costs about the same price you’d pay for a single night in many RV parks. The membership gives you access to the list of places you can stay.  And there are tons throughout the US and Canada.

It is $44 for a year without autorenewal, and they drop it down to $40 with renewal.

You can only stay for single nights, and they ask that you support the place you are at – many places sell wine and have gift shops with other items as well, for those who don’t want to buy wine.

You also need to phone in advance, that way they can tell you if there are any special instructions, especially for farms.  Sometimes there are special entrances or places to park.  There are some rules, but they are generally common sense rules.  They do ask that you do not cook outdoors.

They post a full FAQ here.  And you can sign up here.

But it is a super great way to visit some placed you might not otherwise, in a much nicer environment than the closest Walmart!
