If you are lucky you might still find pool noodles at the dollar store or on clearance at various stores. Pool noodles have some great uses in and around the RV.
Safety!
First, pool noodles cut into lengths can cover up any lines you have from the RV or on any tents you have at your site. It is easy to trip on these types of lines, but with the pool noodles in place, it is a bit easier to realize there is an obstruction there, and if you do trip, they won’t cause your legs to get cut like some wires do.
Around the Mattress
If you have a space between the mattress and the side of the RV, since sometimes the beds are either against the rounded part of the RV or the size is just a slight bit different, you can use a pool noodle to fill in the space – and it will also stop the mattress from sliding around.
Cabinet Spacers on the Move
Cabinet spacers! If you have extra room in a cabinet you are worried that things crashing around, a piece of pool noodle can help pad the extra space to prevent movement.
Roof Vent Cover
A 2-3 pieces of pool noodle cut to size can be used to block the sun and heat coming in through a RV vent on the roof, if you don’t have a proper sun blocking vent cover.
Clothesline
Lastly, you can hang them over a clothesline to help clothes dry faster. The pool noodle helps separate what is hanging on both sides for faster drying times.
Slide Out Bumpers
Do you have kids at the perfect height to crash into corners of slideouts? Or maybe you do in the dark while walking the dog? Pop them on the side as a bumper to prevent serious bumps and bruises from hitting the corners.
Cover Awning Bars
If you have an RV awning, those bars can be easy to walk into, especially in low light conditions or while kids are running around. Pop a pool noodle over the bars to avoid injury from walking into them.
Bike Racks and Trailer Hitches
Again, these are things that are easy to walk or run into, use a pool noodle to cover up, especially the bars from the bike rack that poke out.
