I am always looking for ways to be efficient with power in the RV, especially if boondocking in a campground such as at a state park. And I also like the idea of a bit of added light outside the RV without burning through battery power for safety reasons. And solar lights are the perfect way.
Pick up a few solar stake lights from the dollar store and you can use them in places around your campsite such as at the bottom of the RV steps or if your site has a picnic table, to add to the four corners of the picnic table both for light and for safety to prevent any accidental run-ins into the corner of a table when it is dark out. You can also add them to the entrance of your campsite, or anywhere else you think you might need extra light for either safety or security.
With stake lights, you don’t need to worry about needing to hang them onto the outside of the RV, or flashlights just for sitting around the campsite when fires are not permitted, as solar stake lights, as long as they get enough sunlight during the day, can stay lit up until morning.
Solar lights tend to go quickly at the dollar store, so you may need to scout it out as soon as they put out their spring gardening as well as summertime party supplies, especially if your dollar store tends to sell things quickly and then not replenish seasonal products.
You can also purchase ones from Amazon, if your dollar store doesn’t have any in stock:
